  1. Part-Time Direct Support Professional – The Village

    Position:  Part Time Direct Support Professional – The Village   

    Description

    Provide valuable support services for our young adults, ages 18-24, on our two home residential campus of Independent Living Homes in Winter Park near Tuskawilla Road & Dike Road. The residents have aged out of foster care and are learning skills to avoid becoming homeless.

    Essential duties may include:

    • Facilitating peer interactions, recreation activities, transportation of clients, managing case plans and implementation of program rules
    • Provide supervision for young adults and actively participate in teaching and role modeling essential life skills
    • Provide crisis intervention and verbal de-escalation in crisis situations
    • Monitor facilities and conduct safety checks of both homes
    • Preparing rooms for new clients
    • Operate company vehicle to transport clients to work, school, appointments or activities as needed

    Qualifications

        • High School Diploma or GED certificate plus two years’ experience in child welfare or educational setting    
        • Some college with one year relevant experience OR BA in Human Services Field
        • Must be 21 years of age and insurable under IMPOWER’s auto insurance

  2. Lead Licensed Clinician – Longwood

    Position:  Lead Licensed Clinician – Longwood  

    Description

    Conduct face-to-face evaluations for assigned new clients resulting in full diagnostic impressions and recommendation for level of treatment.  Conduct and coordinate group sessions at the office.  Coordinate the continuation of services for office based clients including but not limited to biopsychosocials, therapy, and treatment plans.  Provide clients with accurate diagnoses that meet the criteria identified in the DSM-IV.  Determine the level of service needed based on the severity of the client’s symptoms and notify staff if the level of service recommended is different than what was approved on the screening form.

    Qualifications

        • Master’s degree in social work or a human service related field from an accredited college or university required.
        • Licensed in the State of Florida as LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist, or School Psychologist required.
        • Medicaid number required.
        • Supervisor experience.
        • Able to rotate an on call/after hours schedule.
        • 2 years of experience and competence in assessing and diagnosing mental health and developmental disorders in children, adolescents and adults.

  3. Intake & Placement Specialist – Osceola County

    Position:  Intake & Placement Specialist – Osceola County  

    Description

    Coordinate the intake of children and secure the least restrictive placement for youth in out-of-home care, in a timely manner.  Act as the initial point of contact in receiving intakes and securing the best possible placement match for children in out-of-home care.  Respond quickly to intake and placement requests from Protective Investigations and placement related needs and/or emergencies from all providers and partners.  Assign cases to the appropriate Case Management Organization on a rotational basis.  Schedule and coordinate ICC/ESI staffing.  Attend staffing meetings when appropriate.

    Qualifications

        • Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related human services field from an accredit college or university required.
        • At least one year of child welfare experience
        • Child Welfare Professional Certification, preferred
        • PRIDE/MAPP training or certification and knowledge of trauma informed care, preferred 
        • Proficient in Microsoft applications (word processing, spreadsheets, database and emailing)

  4. Scheduling & Referral Specialist – Brevard

    Position:  Scheduling & Referral Specialist – Brevard 

    Description

    Ensure that client referrals are assigned to clinicians quickly and appropriately. Check Medicaid eligibility for incoming referrals within 24 hours of receipt. For referrals that are Medicaid ineligible, contact families in order to secure other funding. Follow up with referral source via telephone when more information is needed in a timely manner. Enter new referrals into the client database, update information to “pending” when assigned, and “deadfile” when staff notify us of this. Fax to referral source a confirmation of referral receipt, funding problems, and notification of case assignment in a timely manner. File referrals into appropriate binders in a timely manner. Follow HIPAA and IMPOWER policies regarding confidentiality of client records. Communicate with the Program Manager regarding liability issues or other significant events.

    Qualifications

        • High School Diploma required. Associates degree preferred. 
        • Experience working in a dependency or mental health setting. 
        • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance, insurable under IMPOWER auto policy.

  5. The Village – Part Time Transporter

    Position:  Part Time Transporter – The Village

    Description

    Do you want to help make a difference in the lives of at-risk youth? Join our Village Team! Based in Seminole County, The Village serves as a transitional housing option for former foster youth and/or homeless youth. We are currently seeking motivated, reliable and skilled individuals to provide quality services to our young adults in various capacities as they work to attain goals and transition to adulthood.

    Part Time Transporter – a valued team member, the transporter helps youth get to and from work, school, and other important appointments. Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License and auto insurance.

    The rate is $10 per hour.

  6. Marketing/Social Media Intern – UCF Area

    Position:  Marketing/Social Media Intern – UCF Area   

    Description

    Candidates are required to be enrolled at an accredited College or University with a focus on Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business or related field. Applicants must be at the junior or senior level with at least a 3.0 GPA. This is a volunteer position. College credit may be available depending on the requirements of your college or university.

    This position is responsible for managing and expanding IMPOWER’s social media outlets such as Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Twitter. Monitoring and analyzing all agency social media outlets will need to be provided in bi-weekly reports. Responsible for drafting content for and assisting with updates to the IMPOWER website as well as drafting press releases and creating promotional materials for special events and programs.

    Qualifications

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business or related field from an accredited college or university.
    • Highly organized and able to successfully and simultaneously manage many tasks of broad variety in a timely and efficient manner.

  7. Information Technology Intern – UCF Area

    Position:  Information Technology Intern – UCF Area   

    Description

    Candidates are required to be enrolled at an accredited College or University with a focus on Information Technology or related field. Position will require a minimum of 15-20 hours per week, totaling a minimum of 180 hours at the end of the semester. *Students who successfully complete the internship will receive a $1,000 stipend.*

    This position is responsible for supporting coordination of IT support with agency IT Director and performs direct and indirect tasks as assigned by IT director. Troubleshooting and repairing computer systems and mobile devices as requested. Also will need to set up and install computers or mobile devices for new or transferring employees. Additionally required is assistance with website maintenance and physical inventory of all computer equipment.

    Qualifications

    Description

    We have an immediate need for several Physician Assistants who have a special interest in growing as a professional in mental health care. IMPOWER will assist the PA in obtaining Psychiatric Certification as a requirement of the job.  The PA will be required to work under the direct supervision of a Psychiatrist with duties including but not limited to examination, diagnosis and treatment of patients.    Some travel is required and services performed primarily in Seminole, Orange & Osceola Counties.

    This is can be a full-time, part-time, or independent contractor position.

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate must be a licensed Physician’s Assistant in the State of Florida, be able to pass a multi-level background screening, meets credentialing requirements for Medicaid & Medicare, has completed a physician assistant program at an accredited school including clinical training, and completes all employee hiring requirements with IMPOWER. One year minimum experience is desired.

  14. Psychiatrist

    Description

    To provide psychiatric evaluation, medication management, ARNP and Peers supervision and leadership for the Outpatient and Clinic services for multiple sights.

    Responsibilities

            • Abide by the ethics, policies and procedures, and professional standards of IMPOWER.
            • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation and licensing standards as well as agency policies and procedures.
            • Ensure the provision of high quality and timely access to client services.
            • Maintain regular communication with the Program Director, including potential liability issues or significant incidents that put the agency or the clients at risk.
            • Provide effective and efficient psychiatric evaluations, explanations of psychiatric evaluations to family members and medication management.
            • Provide peer reviews for cases that have been seen by other doctors and nurses at IMPOWER.
            • Ensure that prescriptions for medications will follow the formulary lists provided by the funders whenever possible. Written prescriptions will follow state and federal rules and regulations.
            • Ensure the supervision of ARNP and Other MD’s and be sure that they are following ISI procedures and that the documentation is in compliance with the Medicaid Community Mental Health Manual requirements for progress notes.
            • Ensure that every office will comply with a treatment plan for cases.
            • Being available for emergency consultations and respond to these emergency calls in a timely manner.
            • Identify complex clients in order to respond appropriately to the client’s medical needs.
            • Ensure appropriate communication between the staff regarding the PCP and the coordination with other professionals as needed.

    Qualifications, Education, Experience

            • MD, Florida psychiatric license and at least two years post licensure experience providing direct services in the clinical specialty area
            • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance, and successful motor vehicle driving record background check. (3-year driving record check.)
