Youth Homelessness Prevention & Housing
Bridging the Gap to Adulthood for Ages 18–24
At IMPOWER, we believe every young adult deserves a safe place to call home and the tools to build a stable future. Our housing programs support youth ages 18–24 who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, aging out of foster care, or facing housing instability. We provide more than shelter we offer guidance, resources, and a path to independence.
Our Programs
Rapid Rehousing & Supportive Housing Services
For youth experiencing homelessness, we connect them to safe, stable housing and the supports needed to thrive.
Services Include:
- Case management
- Housing search & navigation
- Employment search & job training
- Credit counseling & budgeting help
- Public benefits navigation (SSI, SNAP, etc.)
- Basic needs assistance (food, clothing, transportation)
Permanency & Extended Support Services (Orange County only)
For young adults not eligible for other housing programs, we help with:
- Job skills development
- Financial literacy training
- Academic and educational planning
- Obtaining vital documents
- Securing and maintaining affordable housing
Dorm-style housing for homeless and former foster youth ages 18–24.
Residents Receive:
- Safe, affordable housing
- Employment and education support
- Life skills training (budgeting, cooking, etc.)
- Access to mental health care, legal aid, and prevention services
Impact:
- 88% transition to permanent housing
- 79% gain employment
- 100% enroll in school or training
